Updating Medicina del Lavoro participates at the World Health Day 2018 organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and supported by the HEALTH FOR ALL Campaign and by Universal Health Coverage 2030 (UHC2030) International Health Partnership.
The main theme of this World Health Day and for the seventieth anniversary of WHO is “Universal health coverage (UHC): everyone, everywhere“.
UMdL is authorized by WHO for the Italian translations of the Key messages for World Health Day 2018 and the Campaign essentials for World Health Day 2018. Italian translations are respectively available as: Messaggi chiave per la Giornata Mondiale della Salute 2018 and Concetti fondamentali per la Campagna in favore della Giornata Mondiale della Salute 2018.
World leaders are called by WHO to comply with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) assuring health of all people. For this reason key messages of this Campaign are INSPIRE, MOTIVATE, and GUIDE.
Universal Health Coverage 2030 (UHC2030) is about a global movement to build stronger health systems for universal health coverage. UHC2030 agrees with UN Global Compact and is Ten principles. There are also an Italian version of these Ten principles by Global Compact Network Italia.
Universal health coverage is also about best Education possible based on Six principles as suggested by Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
UHC data about Italy show: an overall value ≥ 80 in terms of coverage of essential health services (ranging from 1 to 100); a 93% of percentage of one-year-old children who have received 3 doses of diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine; a 79% of percentage of people with tuberculosis that are successfully treated.
