UMdL agrees with the World Cancer Day promoted by Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and supported by World Health Organization (WHO) and International Agency of Research on Cancer (IARC). Today around the World there are more than 500 events planned for this happening.
According to WHO currently more than 30% of cancer could be easily prevented by healty life style, by imunization against some infections (HBV, HPV), by an adequate environmental and work safety.
